Description: The rustic Duck Club is situated at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine and is part of the Irvine Ranch Water District. The idea for a wildlife sanctuary was concieved by my husband, Peer Swan many years ago when the area was wild. With the help of many interested parties, the idea became a reality and it is still an on-going labor of love for him. One family originally owned this, then it became the home of the Sea and Sage Audubon, and now it is used by Irvine residents for events and meetings. I love it here this time of day, its quiet just before dusk when the people have left, the sun is low and shadows are long.
